In Gal. 3:1-14, Paul is continuing to show the Galatians that they need not go back to the Law of the Old Testatment. They had been lured by false teachers. (Ch. 1) These false teachers were trying to tell the Galatians that the works of the Law was the true "way".
In verses 1-5, Paul asked them about their experiences with Christ. You can't dismiss away something you experienced, can you? They saw the Son of God, the received the Holy Spirit, and they experience miracles from God the Father. Our experience make us who we are. Paul was telling them that they can't leave something they they know for sure was real.
In verses 6-14, Paul gives them the scriptural reason's that faith in Christ trumps the Law of the Old Testament. He uses 6 Old Testament references to prove it, starting with Abraham.
Read though 6-14 and see if you can find all six.
One more thing: There are still Jews, today, that go by the Law and they do not believe the Jesus was the son of God. If you ever come in contact with one, you can use Gal. 3 and the whole book to share with them and that it's not just your opinion, it's TRUE!!
