Had a great day yesterday. I led the 1st Service, but not the second. I had the privilege of teaching the Caleb Class, which is the Senior Saints. Joseph, our youth pastor led the 2nd Service and did an awesome job. I taught on Phil 3, a chapter that Paul uses himself as an example of how we should live our lives as Christian. The first verse is "Rejoice in the Lord"! We all should learn how to do that better.

Here's the list:

1st Service

A New Name In Glory-
Life’s Railway to Heaven
Let My Light Shine Bright
Till the Storm Passes By
Just a Closer Walk with Thee

2nd Service

I Am Free-D
Now That You’re Near-E
Mighty to Save-A
My Savior My God-D
The Stand-A

We had a great day at Parkhill! I didn't post last week, but for Memorial Day we had a unified service, which means everyone was in the 10:30 Service. I really enjoyed it. It was very nice. We will be doing this periodically over the summer, with hopes of going back to a one service format in the fall. Doing two different service formats every Sunday is like leading two different churches. It was nice to see a full crowd on Memorial Day, too!

Ok here's the order for this past Sunday:

1st Service:
I’ll Fly Away-Ab/G
On Jordan’s Stormy Banks-Eb/D
We’ll Understand It Better By and By-Eb/D
Soon and Very Soon-F
Sweet By and By-G

2nd Service
A New Hallelujah-G
Come Now Is the Time To Worship-D
Jesus Paid It All-A
Mighty To Save-A
Agnus Dei-A

It's been 5 wks since I found out that I'm diabetic. I have cut so much out of my diet. Splenda tea instead sweet tea, cut alot of sweets out, down to 1-2 carbonated beverages a week, (seriously, no joke!), and watching my carb intake. It's not really been as bad as I thought it would be. It really is about moderation. I can still have things with sugar, but not just as much.

I am also walking and climbing a few mountains, (will be doing the Incline again in a few weeks).
As of 5 wks, I have lost 11 lbs. my goal is to lose 18.8 more lbs. I'm at 168.8 and I want to get down to 150. (we have a digital scale, it's pretty kool)

Anyway, even if you are not a diabetic like me, take care of the body that God has given you. I really believe that the some health problems that we have are directly related to how we eat. There are tons of things that taste really great, but are really bad for the body. So take care of your body, and you'll feel so much better!
