Kyle's Eyes

Thought I'd give ya an update on Kyle. He will be 6 on January 5th. Right now, we are patching his good eye in order to get the lazy eye right. We've been doing that for about 8 months.

After numerous doctor appointments, it has not gotten better. We are dilating the good eye three times a week with a patch every day from
7 am - 5 pm. His main question everyday is: Is it 5 o'clock yet?

Dr. Schlomer says that he has until age 7 to get it trained, but the doc doesn't seemed worried about it. There is a possibility that he'll have surgery again. Sherry and I are just trying to be patient.
He got his new glasses yesterday. Two pair for $99.00 at Doctor's VisionWorks. We also got the insurance which was an extra $15.00! It's really kool to save $140.00. We paid over $230.00 for his last pair. I can tell ya where not to go to get your glasses!

The Christmas program was kool! Cliff and Ruth did an awesome job as Nana and Pops, Alesha, Melanie, Makayla, and Janessa, did a great job on "Mary, Did You Know", and Jared, Matt, and Isaiah did a kool job on "We Three Kings", and Sherry's class, the Kindergartners, actually sang, although some of them were distracted by flash bulbs!

Thanks to the teachers, Ms. Parsley, Mrs. Rumsey, Mrs. Grinstead, and Mrs. Ketchum.

Also, thanks to Mrs. Church for accompanying the girls on "Mary Did You Know and
Mrs. Combs for accompanying the choir.

Parkhill's Ladies Ensemble, By Heart, also sang after the program. Awesome job as always.

Kyle ran the soundboard, thanks dude, and last but not least, Ashleigh created and type the "paper" program.

Thanks to you all for helping it be a great night for PCA!!

Mrs. Marsh took pictures. As soon, as I get them, I'll post them here and on Facebook!!

Merry Christmas!!

PCA Christmas Program

Ms. Parsley, and Mrs. Rumsey was wondering if I could pull this off, but I think the Parkhill Christian Academy program is gonna be great this year. Ms. Parsley and Mrs. Rumsey are PCA's elementary school teachers.
Ya know kids are gonna be kids, right? Those two ladies have always lead the Christmas program and have always done a great job, so this year we gave them a break and they let me lead.

Our program is based around Pops and Nana, played by Cliff and Ruth Beals, who are members of our church. The students will be singing traditional Christmas carols centered around Pops and Nana's story of how they met. They will then read the Greatest Story ever told, the Christmas story. It will be simple but effective.

We have a quartet of Jr & Sr. High girls, Alesha, Melanie, Janessa, and Mykala, singing, "Mary, Did You Know". They are nervous but I know they'll do a great job.

Parkhill's Ladies Ensemble, By Heart, will also be singing. So if ya want to hear some Christmas Carols and a cool story, come see us tonight at 6:30 pm.

I'm a Messenger! My friend approached me yesterday with two gifts, envelopes with gift cards inside. He asked me to "deliver" them to two other families in our church. He didn't want the families to know who he was.
It was awesome to see faces light up! One family said "It was the gift given at the perfect time".
Thank you, Lord, for allowing me see Your "Gospel" in "Action"!
Let's all remember these verse:

Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

James 2:18
Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

As believers, our faith and our works goes hand in hand! This Christmas put your faith to action and do something for someone in need in Jesus' name!!
